Campaign Overview In response to the national imperative to combat COVID-19, the Ministry of Health and Social Services launched a mobile Out-of-Home campaign in November 2022 in partnership with HEKAMIOUTDOOR. The initiative formed part of the broader #KickCovidOutOfNamibia effort to drive vaccination uptake across the country.
Executive Strategy Seven (7) mobile billboards were deployed across key national roadblocks and border posts, locations chosen for their: • High dwell times • Constant traffic flow • Critical interface with travellers and transporters These placements allowed the campaign to reach large and mobile segments of the population with clear and impactful public health messaging.
Impact & Value The mobile billboard campaign: • Amplified visibility of the national COVID-19 vaccination drive • Supported the Ministry’s goal to vaccinate 75% of the population • Encouraged behavioural change and public action in real-time HEKAMIOUTDOOR’s strategic media deployment ensured the success of this urgent national health campaign, proving the agility and power of mobile OOH media in addressing time-sensitive public issues.
